Abstract

In this session, we aim to reevaluate the role of women in the advancement of paleontological knowledge, from the pioneering figures who first studied fossils to the new generations of graduates entering this field. We will discuss the specific needs of women in paleontology while also recognizing the resources available to them, fostering connections among women in the discipline. Our goal is to encourage women to highlight the impact of their research and to share the challenges and barriers they have faced throughout their careers. We are also eager to learn about our journey and role as a mentor to other women in the field. We invite you to join us in this session to share your insights and personal experiences in a field that has traditionally been male-dominated.
