Announcement for 2nd PVC Photography Contest and 2nd PVC Palaeoart Contest
In the upcoming 5th Palaeontological Virtual Congress, we are thrilled to announce the 2nd PVC Photography contest and the 2nd PVC Palaeoart contest! We will award the best photo and the best illustration, respectively, featuring anything related to palaeontology and scientific disciplines. This includes astonishing fossil specimens, beautiful landscapes, and much more. The photography contest has five categories, while the palaeoart contest has a single category.
2ND PVC PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST
For the 2nd PVC Photography Contest, there will be 5 categories:
- Vertebrate Palaeontology.
- Invertebrate Palaeontology.
- Palaeobotany.
- Taphonomy and Technology.
- Other topics related to Palaeontology.
The prizes for each category winner will included a T-shirt, a spiral notebook and a mug. Additionally, all participants will receive a free registration for the congress.
Participants can submit a maximum of 3 photographs, which can be distributed across any category or within the same category. Images must be between 1MB and 15MB, in JPEG or TIFF format, and saved in the sRGB color model. Please email your images to palaeovc@gmail.com, along with the signed contest registration form. Important Dates:
- Images must be submitted before 1st November, 2024.
- Judging will take place between 1st November- 1st December, 2024.
- Winners will be selected and announced during the congress.
